Iris Cordelia Rotzoll

Project Manager

Iris joined the Hub as a Project Manager in July of 2022. She is responsible for the overall strategy, the management, implementation and the finances of the Regional Pacific NDC Hub. She is the contact point for the coordination with donors and current and future partners of the Hub.

Whenever she can, she enjoys swimming in the ocean and doing long walks on the beautiful beaches of the Pacific.

Amit Singh

Project Development Specialist

Amit is the NDC Hub's Project Development Specialist and is based with the Hub Implementation Unit in Suva, Fiji. He is seconded to the NDC Hub by the Pacific Community (SPC) and will be working with countries to ensure that the NDC investment plans are further developed into tangible projects. Amit's primary interest is in climate resilient development and adaptive water management PSIDS and he also takes keen interest in science and investigative documentaries.

Christine Conway

NDC Partnership's Country Engagement Specialist

Christine has worked on Pacific climate and disaster management issues for over 10 years, including from Wellington, Geneva, Papua New Guinea and Fiji. Christine has a mix of policy and operational experience, particularly in the areas of disaster risk reduction, preparedness, response and recovery. Christine has also worked in diplomatic roles, including previously representing New Zealand as First Secretary (Regional Climate & Disaster Risk Management) at the New Zealand High Commission to Fiji. Christine has a strong love for the diversity, natural environment and people of the Pacific region.

In her spare time, Christine enjoys water sports including stand up paddle board and kayak, gardening and playing with her dog. She is also involved in many sustainability and eco-living initiatives.

Noim Uddin, PhD

Senior Officer MRV and NDC Enhancement

Noim is the NDC Hub’s MRV and NDC Enhancement specialist and brings to the Pacific over 15 years of experience in this field. He is working on MRV enhancement in the Pacific as per the country requests from the NDC Hub’s member countries.

Noim is a staff of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and is part of the NDC Hub Implementation Unit, based in Suva, Fiji. A fun fact about Noim is that he enjoys sweets and desserts from various countries.

Ron Simpson

Advisor - Adaptation

Ron is the Regional Pacific NDC Hub's Adaptation Advisor and brings over 12 years of Marine and Coastal Fisheries Science and Adaptation experience in the region. Ron is a staff with GIZ Pacific and is a part of the Regional Pacific NDC Hub Implementation Unit based in Suva, Fiji.

Ron in his spare time loves to pick up his old guitar, to pen and string up a few tunes.

Sagaitu Konusi

Advisor- Mitigation

Sagaitu Konusi is the Regional Pacific NDC's Hub Mitigation Advisor and brings a vast experience to the hub. He has paternal links to Noatau and Oinafa in Rotuma and maternal links to Navuso, Naitasiri. Mr. Konusi spent his last 8 years abroad, 7 years in Japan and 1 year in Germany, studying and working. He undertook his Bachelors and Masters studies for 6 of those years and worked as an English teacher under the Ministry of Education for Japan for 2. Prior to that, he was at Marist Brothers High School, Fiji and Port Vila International School, Vanuatu for primary and secondary education.

Sagaitu's educational background is in the fields of climate policy, circular economy and carbon markets. He enjoys playing cricket, reading a book and playing a few tunes on the guitar in his free time and has a particular interest in social entrepreneurial initiatives and DJing.

Shenila Saniyog

Senior Program Associate

Shenila is a staff of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), and is part of the NDC Hub Implementation Unit, based in Suva, Fiji. She manages GGGI's projects and interventions in the NDC Hub, responding to country requests in line with the Hub's Strategy 2030. Shenila also provides technical assistance to strategic policy development and overall program coordination of the NDC Hub.

She greatly enjoys working with member countries across the Pacific region providing technical support and delivering their country requests.

Vanda Faasoa-Chan Ting

Technical Advisor

Vanda is the NDC Hub's Technical Advisor and is based within SPREP in Apia, Samoa. She has joined the Hub from the Samoa Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment where she was the Assistant CEO for the past six years. Vanda is involved in implementing country requests of the NDC Hub which SPREP is leading in the Hub.

Rebecca Eldon

Advisor - Monitoring & Evaluation

Rebecca is responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the Hub's work in the Pacific region. She also focuses on knowledge management and donor reporting for the NDC Hub. Rebecca was one of the very first staff to be recruited for the NDC Hub, starting as an Intern for the project in 2018.

In her free time, Rebecca enjoys Yoga, drawing and cooking.

Sadie Tunaulu

Information and Knowledge Management Officer

Sadie is seconded to the NDC Hub by the Pacific Community - SPC and is in charge of information and knowledge management. She provides data management expertise to the Hub and its member countries. She also supports SPC's Manager Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability to deliver SPC led activities within the NDC Hub. A fun fact about Sadie is that she is an avid archer and you will find her on the range on a sunny afternoon practicing with her archery pals.

Biutoka Kacimaiwai

Senior Communications Officer

Biutoka provides Communications support for the Regional NDC Hub Project in conjunction with the Blue Carbon Initiative and Low Carbon Sea Transport projects under GIZ Pacific, in the region.

He enjoys being out in the ocean for either sailing, fishing or surfing (still learning).

Kristiana Ciocio

Awareness Raising and Knowledge Management Officer

 

Kristiana Ciocio joins the Regional Pacific NDC Hub as the Awareness Raising and Knowledgement Management Officer. She has worked in both technical and administrative roles with Environmental Regional Organisations and has a great passion for nature, spending time with family at the beach, playing volleyball, volunteer work with youth and kids to create awareness on environmental issues and organize conservation activities and poetry writing.

Rupeni Vatubuli

Senior Communications Officer

 

    Rupeni is the Regional Pacific NDC Hub's Senior Communications Officer and brings over 10 years of communications experience in the region. Rupeni is a staff with GIZ Pacific and is a part of the Regional Pacific NDC Hub Implementation Unit based in Suva, Fiji.

    Rups enjoys cooking and loves a home cooked meal.

    Andre Koenigs

    Finance Manager

    Andre joined the Hub as Finance Manager in November 2022. He oversees all the budgeting and finances of the unique, multi-partner arrangements of the Regional Pacific NDC Hub and provides support to partners.

    Apart from being passionate about Resource Management and processes, Andre enjoys exploring Fiji, watching a Rugby match or working out at Albert Park.

    Florette Tuuau

    Finance and Administration Officer

    Florette looks after the Finance and Administration side of things for implementing the activities SPREP is leading in the NDC Hub. She is tasked with ensuring that all the financial and administrative processes are followed to ensure smooth delivery of country requests in the Hub.

    Ilisapeci Butukiviti

    Intern

    Ilisapeci is an Intern for GGGI Fiji, based at the Regional Pacific NDC Hub. Prior to this appointment, she was a Project Technical Assistant at the Fiji Mineral Resources Department. She has an academic background in Geospatial Science, and is passionate about the application of Geographic Information System (GIS) in environmental management.

    Roxane Degueuse

    NDC Hub Administration and Finance Assistant

     

    Roxane works as the SPC Administrative and Financial Assistant working on the Regional Pacific NDC Hub. Her work currently provides administrative and technical support, administrating and monitoring budget lines and support to the SPC Manager for Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Programme. She loves making create things, maybe that’s why she started by carrying out art and design studies.  A part of her leisure time is dedicated to painting, rattan basketry and art craft. Since she lives in New Caledonia she has been started to practice traditional wood carving.

    Shalini Lata

    Senior Finance and Administration Officer

    Shalini looks after the finance, procurement and administration of the NDC Hub. When not crunching numbers and meeting targets, Shalini can be found tending to her garden of blossoms and spending time with her family.

    Vasiti Rokouma

    Administrative Manager

    Vasiti comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge gained from working in various regional and international organisations in Fiji. Before joining the Pacific NDC Hub, she spent 11 years with the PHAMA Plus Programme as the Logistics, Finance and HR Officer.

    Mrs Rokouma is responsible for managing administrative services for the Regional NDC hub, will coordinate support and logistics at the Programme office, will manage the project procurement with our finance colleagues and will ensure that GIZ rules and regulations are adhered to.

    In her free time, Vasiti enjoys playing volleyball and snorkeling.
