The Regional Pacific NDC Hub will be hosting a workshop for youth climate activists, designed to empower and equip the next generation of climate leaders with effective communication skills on March 12-15, 2024.
By creating a Social Media Challenge focused on NDCs, participants will take a concrete step towards raising awareness about climate action and holding governments accountable for their commitments. The workshop aims to harness the power of social media and youth activism to drive real change in the fight against climate change.
The workshop aims to gather young social media influencers and youths active in the climate space to exchange knowledge and collaborate to amplify awareness on climate change, particularly on National Determined Contributions (NDCs).
This includes equipping youth participants with an understanding of climate change and empowering them with the knowledge to communicate these complex topics effectively to broader audiences through social media.
The workshop also provides hands-on training to young participants on utilizing social media for effective climate advocacy, maximizing their reach and influence.
The Regional Pacific NDC Hub welcomes collaboration with other organizations and partners who share the vision and are interested in making this workshop a reality. Together, we can amplify the voices of young climate activists and accelerate action on climate change.
