Summary of Activity:

The assignment will undertake a review of PNG’s NDC to address current national emissions from the energy sector and the forestry & land use sector, and in enhance its NDC to include the relevant sectors where necessary.

It will support the development of emission mitigation plans in the identified sectors to be included in the GHG Inventory (GHGI) improvement plan, and formulate targets based on the key emitting categories of the AFOLU and the energy sector, which will be used in updating the current NDC.
